Recycled
Orchestra Class
From Spark Schooling
Explore Music with the Recycled Orchestra of
Paraguay! We'll read “Ada's Violin” by Susan Hood to learn how kids created beautiful music from trash. Next, discover how different sounds are made and make your own instrument from recycled materials at home. Together, we'll use our unique instruments to perform a musical soundscape of a thunderstorm.
Tree Sculpture
Art Class
From Spark Schooling
Create a Tree Sculpture out of a Paper Bag! Trees are amazing—they give us oxygen so we can breathe, and we help them grow by giving them carbon dioxide. Trees also give us wood to build houses and places to play. By making this tree sculpture, we celebrate the special connection between us and trees and learn why it's important to take care of our planet.
Cardboard Box
STEM Class
From Spark Schooling
Dive into our “Think Outside the Box” STEM Challenge! First, we'll explore the book “What to Do with a Box” by Jane Yolen and discuss its illustrations, how commas are used, and the shape
of a box as a rectangular prism. Then, it’s your turn to get creative. Can you invent something
useful using just a small box?
