I have structured this resource around a detailed reading passage that walks students through the fascinating world of human sleep cycles.  Students/Homeschoolers will explore why our brains need both non-REM and REM sleep, and I particularly love how the material addresses the paradox of REM sleep—that remarkable state where our minds are incredibly active while our bodies remain completely still.  Through real-world examples, students begin to understand how sleep disruptions can significantly impact mental health, making the science feel relevant and personal.
