Vendor Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Homeschool Resource Co.! These Vendor Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (the “Vendor”) and Homeschool Resource Co. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding the sale of products and services on our platform. By becoming a Vendor, you agree to abide by the following terms.
These Terms & Conditions are effective immediately upon any update. If a correction is needed following a policy change, Vendors have seven (7) days to bring their store into compliance before further action is taken.

1. Vendor Eligibility & Approval
Our marketplace is open to individual creators, small businesses, and vendors selling homeschool-related content.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a Vendor on Homeschool Resource Co. By submitting a vendor application, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
- Every new vendor application is manually reviewed by our team.
- Verification typically takes one (1) business day.
- We review your store information, product descriptions, and online presence to confirm alignment with our homeschool-focused mission.
- We reserve the right to decline or remove any vendor who does not meet our quality or compliance standards.
Once your store has been approved, you may begin uploading and managing your products in accordance with your selected plan.
2. Vendor Subscription Plans & Fees
Standard Seller — $25/year
- 60% commissions on sales

Premium Seller — $69/year
- 80% commissions on sales
- Unlimited products
- No processing fees

Pricing & Renewal Policy
- Promotional pricing is limited-time only and may end without prior notice.
- Subscription rates may increase at any time, with or without prior notice.
- Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to previously purchased plans.
- Renewal pricing reflects the current rate at time of renewal unless a promotion is active.
All subscription fees are non-refundable.
Subscription Lapse & Product Visibility
If your subscription expires without renewal, all product listings will be immediately unpublished. Products remain in your dashboard and will be restored upon renewal. Existing customer orders placed prior to the lapse are not affected.
3. Allowed & Prohibited Products
Allowed
- Homeschool-related content — physical and digital products, courses, classes, and memberships
- Both faith-based and neutral resources (must be clearly labeled in product listings)
Prohibited
- Reselling or unauthorized resale of other creators' work
- Private Label Rights (PLR) content
- Non-customized semi-exclusive materials
- Any content unrelated to homeschooling
- Content prohibited under our Content Guidelines (incorporated herein by reference)
The Homeschool Resource Co. Content Guidelines are incorporated into and made a binding part of these Terms & Conditions. Vendors are responsible for reviewing and complying with the Content Guidelines at all times.
4. Product Pricing Policy
Effective April 1, 2026: All paid products must be priced at a minimum of $3.00 USD. This policy exists because Homeschool Resource Co. covers all transaction and processing fees on behalf of vendors.
- Free products (freebies) are exempt from the $3.00 minimum.
- Any existing paid product priced below $3.00 after April 1, 2026 will be automatically adjusted to $3.00 by our team. Vendors will be notified when adjustments are made.
- All new paid listings submitted after April 1, 2026 must meet the $3.00 minimum at the time of submission.
- HRC reserves the right to update the minimum pricing threshold in the future. Vendors will have seven (7) days to comply with future pricing changes before listings are adjusted.
5. Free Products (Freebies)
Vendors may list free products on the platform under the following conditions:
- Free products must meet all content guidelines and quality standards required of paid products.
- There is no limit on the number of free products a vendor may list — except that Free Vendor Plan holders will have free listings count toward their 10-product cap.
- Free products must be clearly marked as free in the listing.
- Freebies may not be used to circumvent the pricing policy (e.g., required “donations” or bundled upsells on $0 listings).
6. Store & Product Approval Process
Store Verification
- All new stores undergo a manual verification process upon registration.
- Approval typically occurs within one (1) business day.
- Vendors receive an email notification once their store is approved and selling permissions are activated.
Product Approval
- Free Vendor Plan: All ten (10) product listings must be reviewed and approved before being published.
- Paid Plans (Standard or Premium): Only your first product requires approval. After that, you may freely upload and publish without further review.
Homeschool Resource Co. reserves the right to remove any listing that does not meet our standards at any time.
7. Digital Product Delivery Standards
PDFs are the only file type that can be uploaded and delivered directly through the platform.
Off-Platform Content (Courses, Videos, Apps, Memberships)
Vendors who offer courses, video content, apps, memberships, or other third-party hosted resources may list these products on the marketplace. Delivery of access must follow one of the two approved methods below:
Option 1 — PDF Instruction File
Upload a PDF with step-by-step instructions for accessing your content. This may include:
- A checkout link with a unique coupon code
- Login credentials for a private portal
- A direct link to password-protected content
Option 2 — Private Page Redirect via Order Notes
Use the Order Notes feature to deliver:
- A link to a password-protected page on your website
- The password, delivered automatically in the customer's order confirmation
- Any additional login or redemption instructions
Vendors are responsible for maintaining access links and keeping passwords current. Listings for off-platform products must clearly describe how delivery works so customers know what to expect at checkout.
8. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
By listing a product on Homeschool Resource Co., you warrant and represent that:
- You are the original creator of the content, or you hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to sell it.
- Your content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.
- You have not used any brand names, characters, logos, or trademarks you do not personally own or have explicit written permission to use (e.g., Disney, Star Wars, Minecraft, etc.).
No licensing rights to your content are transferred to Homeschool Resource Co. You retain full ownership of your products. Vendors are solely liable for any intellectual property claims arising from their content.
9. Payments & Payouts
- Vendors are paid via PayPal Mass Payouts on the last Monday of each month.
- Funds are held for 10 days post-payment to ensure no transaction issues.
- Minimum payout threshold: $25.00.
- Early payout requests are available for a small fee.
- Vendors must maintain an active PayPal account. HRC is not responsible for PayPal fees or transfer issues.
10. Taxes
Homeschool Resource Co. collects and remits sales tax on behalf of all Vendors for orders placed through the marketplace, in accordance with applicable state laws.
- Vendors are not required to calculate, collect, or remit sales tax for orders processed through HRC.
- Because payments are processed through PayPal, HRC does not require W-9 forms at this time.
- Vendors remain responsible for their own income tax obligations and business-related reporting outside the marketplace.
Vendors are responsible for maintaining their own tax records and reporting income earned through the marketplace according to local, state, and federal regulations.
11. Store Management & Vendor Responsibilities
- Vendors retain full control over their store, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, and customer service.
- Vendors may sell on other platforms. No exclusivity is required.
- Vendors may add customer emails to their mailing lists in compliance with all applicable FTC emailing rules, opt-out requirements, and anti-spam regulations.
- Failure to comply with platform standards may result in store suspension or removal.
12. Order Fulfillment & Shipping (Physical Products Only)
- Vendors must handle their own shipping and fulfillment for all physical products.
- Platform tools are available to assist with shipping cost calculations.
- Vendors are responsible for timely delivery and providing tracking information where applicable.
13. Refunds, Disputes & Customer Service
- Digital products are final sale by default unless the vendor specifies otherwise in their own Terms of Sale.
- Customers must first contact the vendor directly for support.
- If a vendor does not resolve a customer issue, it may be escalated to our support team.
- Failure to provide reasonable customer service may result in removal from the platform.
14. Promotional Participation
- Standard and Premium vendors may be included in site-wide promotional events. Details will be communicated via email.
- Premium vendors have access to additional marketing features through their vendor dashboard.
- We may include your products in site-wide sales or marketing campaigns. Unless you explicitly opt in to these campaigns, all discounts or sale amounts will be taken from Admin Commissions — your earnings are not affected.
- To opt out of a specific promotion, email [email protected] before the promotion's start date.
- HRC reserves the right to feature vendor products in marketing materials, social media, or email campaigns. No additional compensation is provided for organic platform promotion.
15. Violations, Suspension & Appeals
Grounds for Suspension or Removal
- Selling prohibited items
- Fraudulent activity or misleading product listings
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Excessive customer complaints or unresolved disputes
- Failure to meet the $3.00 minimum pricing requirement after the compliance period
- Violation of any section of these Terms or the Content Guidelines
Appeals Process
If your account is suspended, you may submit an appeal by emailing [email protected] within 7 days of your suspension notice. Your appeal should include:
- Your store name and registered email address
- A description of the issue and any relevant context
- Any corrective action you have taken or plan to take
Our team will respond within 5 business days. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement.
Voluntary Store Closure
- Vendors may close their shop from the dashboard at any time.
- Vendors who have fulfilled all orders with no unresolved disputes will receive payouts for past sales.
- Funds may be held if orders are unfulfilled or disputes remain unresolved.
16. Policy Updates & Compliance
- Updates to these Terms are effective immediately upon posting. Vendors will be notified via email.
- Continued use of the platform constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
- If a policy change requires a correction to your store or listings, you will have seven (7) days to comply before further action is taken.
- It is the vendor's responsibility to remain current with these Terms.
17. Liability & Indemnification
Vendors are fully responsible for their products, transactions, and customer interactions. Homeschool Resource Co. is not liable for lost shipments, product defects, refund disputes, tax issues, or any legal claims regarding a vendor's products or content.
By selling on Homeschool Resource Co., vendors agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Homeschool Resource Co., its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- The sale or distribution of their products
- Intellectual property disputes
- Customer complaints or disputes
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Louisiana. Any disputes must be resolved in the appropriate Louisiana court.
