Description

includes:
– “12 project builds, Beginner to Advanced, each with a full-page wiring map”
– “Every sketch compile-tested against the current ESP32 board package”
– “Troubleshooting section per project – the failure that actually happens, and the fix”
– “Parent & teacher guide: ages, pacing, what they’re learning, when they get stuck”
– “Setup walkthrough: drivers, board package, and the five golden rules”
– “Two PDF editions – full color and an ink-saving print edition (87% less ink)”

Most electronics books for kids fail at the same place: the wiring. A table that says “GPIO 35 connects to the photoresistor and the 10K resistor” is clear to someone who already understands circuits, and useless to a twelve-year-old at a kitchen table with a pile of jumper wires.

This book draws every connection. Each of the twelve projects opens with a full-page wiring map: your ESP32 on the left with only the pins that project uses, the components on the right, and one line per jumper wire – colour-coded by job and patterned so it reads the same printed in black and white. No guessing which hole.

The code is the other half. Every sketch in this book was compiled against the current Espressif ESP32 board package before it went to print, and the printed text is character-for-character identical to the code that built – so what your student types is what was tested. Each project ends with a troubleshooting list covering the specific thing that goes wrong on that build: the LED in backwards, the OLED with SDA and SCL swapped, the 5V sensor pin that needs a divider before it touches a 3.3V board.

Projects run Beginner to Advanced across roughly a semester: blink and button, RGB mood light, buzzer piano, automatic night light, parking distance alarm, weather station on an OLED, servo radar sweep, IR remote power switch, WiFi LED dashboard, Bluetooth relay controller, touch-wake deep sleep logger, and a WiFi weather web page that combines what came before. Each lists a realistic time estimate and the concepts it teaches.

Written for the Elegoo ESP32 Super Starter Kit – every project uses only parts in that box, nothing extra to buy. The kit is sold separately and is required. You supply the kit and a computer with the free Arduino IDE; the book supplies everything else.

You get two PDFs of the same 30-page book: a full-colour edition, and a print edition with no solid fills anywhere for classrooms and homes that print a lot. Both are US Letter, both have selectable, copy-pasteable code.
