The curriculum is designed especially for learners approximately ages 7–14 and can be adapted for younger children and teenagers.

The teaching instructions explain how to shorten readings for younger children, select age-appropriate questions, require fuller Scripture-supported answers from older children, and invite teenagers to trace context or lead part of the discussion.

Families and groups with learners of several ages can study together. When using the curriculum with a group, simply read references to “parent” and “family” in the included volumes as “leader” and “participants.”
