Description
Gold Pans, Gumption, and Growing Up Fast. It’s 1864. The California gold rush is over, but 12-year-old Jem and his sister, Ellie, are sure they can pan more gold from Cripple Creek. With Pa’s new job as sheriff of lawless Goldtown, and along with their miner friend, Strike-it-rich Sam and their cousin, Nathan, there’s plenty of adventure for everyone.
