I really wanted to create a rhythmic weekly cycle that helps our homeschoolers build mastery without feeling like they are starting from scratch every day.  Each week follows the same flow:  Mondays for descriptive writing, Tuesdays for vocabulary, Wednesdays for analysis, Thursdays for grammar, and Fridays for reflection.  This consistency is such a lifesaver because it lets my daughter know exactly what to expect, so she can focus her energy on the actual challenge rather than the instructions.  It is a simple way to make sure we are hitting all those essential ELA targets in just a few minutes a day.
