I created this resource as a way for you to incorporate more reading into your centers or daily activities. These sentences follow my scope and sequence for both phonics and high frequency words. There are 2 ways to use this resource. It can be used as a center/small group activity, or it can be used as a Read the Room whole group game.
I created this resource as a way for you to incorporate more reading into your centers or daily activities. These sentences follow my scope and sequence for both phonics and high frequency words.
These cards have a GREEN outline to indicate they are from Unit 4 of my decodable units which includes Closed Syllable Exceptions, L-Controlled Vowels, and R-Controlled Vowels.
There are 2 ways to use this resource. It can be used as a center/small group activity, or it can be used as a Read the Room whole group game.
Centers/Small Groups:
Print/laminate/cut out the cards and the sentences that you want to use. Have students read the sentence and then find the matching picture.
Read the Room Game:
Print/cut out pictures and remove the sentences. Print a copy of the read the room page for each student. Hang up the corresponding pictures around the room. When you say go, students should read their sentences, find the matching picture and write the number on the picture next to each sentence.
