Copyright Policy

Homeschool Resource Co. (operated by Digital Media Mama, LLC) respects the creative work of homeschool creators and expects everyone on our marketplace to do the same. Our vendors own the products they sell, and we act quickly when someone reports that their work has been copied.

If you believe material on Homeschool Resource Co. infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of someone authorized to act for the copyright owner).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
  3. The location of the infringing material on our site, such as the product URL.
  4. Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Please note: under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a false claim of infringement may be liable for damages.

2. What Happens Next

When we receive a complete notice, we will remove or disable access to the reported material and notify the vendor, including a copy of the notice. Incomplete notices may be returned for more information.

3. Counter-Notice

If your product was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our Designated Agent a counter-notice that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and phone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the U.S., any judicial district where Homeschool Resource Co. may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

We will send the counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. If that person does not tell us, within 10 business days, that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

4. Trademark Complaints

To report a trademark concern, email [email protected] with your trademark registration number (if registered), the product URL, and an explanation of the concern. We review trademark reports case by case.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

We close the stores and accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. A vendor who receives three (3) valid infringement notices within twelve (12) months will generally have their store closed, and we may act sooner for serious infringement. People whose accounts are closed for repeat infringement may not open a new store.

6. Disputes Between Creators

Homeschool Resource Co. doesn’t decide who owns a work. When two creators disagree, we follow the notice and counter-notice process above and may keep material offline until the matter is resolved between the parties or by a court.

7. Reporting Other Concerns

To report a listing that breaks our Vendor Content Guidelines for any other reason (for example, prohibited content or misleading claims), email [email protected] with the product URL.
