Further Up, Further In! is part of the A Gentle Advent™ family of resources. This Advent course is geared for middle grades and high school and utilizes literature selections from The Silver Chair, The Last Battle, poetry, music, art, handicrafts, recipes, and focuses on the coming Advent of Jesus as King by studying Revelation.
The course begins with an Advent Scripture and Activity Journal. The Scripture study is done daily to encourage the habit of devotion. Each day has scheduled readings of The Silver Chair and The Last Battle from C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series. This is delivered via a ZIP file, please make sure the device you are downloading to can unzip it.
There are printables, recipes, handicrafts, art and poetry studies, hymns and carols, nature studies, and more included. The PDF activity sheets are included in the Scripture and Activity Journal. You will want one scripture journal printed for each student. Videos are included in the zip file as well as a document with links to other media.
These activities are all meant to flow through what our family calls “Holiday Homeschool”. We do a light version of homeschool during the holiday season and this allows us to stay in the habit of learning, but also allows us to explore the season.
A Gentle Advent™: Further Up, Further In! will work for your family through regular, light, or “take the month of December off” homeschooling. This is a digital product, no physical product will be received.
