I am a large family mom of 8 kids. When my oldest child went to college, she had to teach other students how to do laundry. Do not let that happen to your child. Teach them now (age-appropriately) with this simple printable.

Laundry Method – This two page printable tutorial describes at what ages I give my children laundry chores like…

put away folded clothes
fold and put away clothes
wash, dry, fold, put away clothes
when kids should wash, fold and put away towels
when kids should wash their own bedding

It also tells our wash days schedule of when the washing machine is used to wash each type of item. For example: “Monday – our clothes (my husband’s and mine)”

Keep in mind, our family uses things like cloth diapers, reusable items like unpaper towels and reusable baby wipes, and lots of beach towels in summer. All of these are mentioned in this handy laundry method.

IT DOES NOT TELL – how to wash laundry, like what detergent, temperature, etc. I am assuming you already know how to do this and are just needing a plan to get it done on a weekly basis.
