Description
Ideal for reinforcing learning of Jolly Phonics Group 1 sounds or Phase 2 Letters and Sounds phonics (s, a, t, i, p, n).
This printable and colorful balloon-themed game is a great addition for literacy centers and phonics practice at home.
This activity helps young learners strengthen letter–sound recognition and phonemic awareness while building early reading skills.
What’s Included:
- 6 letter balloons (S, A, T, P, I, N)
- 24 picture cards
- 4 picture cards for each beginning sound
This resource can be use independently, in literacy centers, or in small groups of up to 4 players.
Shuffle the cards, place face downwards and split the cards evenly between the players. Taking it in turns, they can say the sound as they match the card to the correct letter balloon.
Prep Instructions:
- Instant PDF digital download
- Print the activity (cardstock will make it more durable, but it is not required)
- Cut out the balloons and picture cards
- Laminate for durability
- Add Velcro dots to create a reusable phonics activity
