Hi, I’m Stephen Bosch, creator of MyHelpr and The Beacon Series! 

I developed The Beacon Series to give families a better way to prepare teens for the real-world decisions they’ll face involving substances, peer pressure, stress, social media, and personal safety.

This work also connects with my own upbringing. I spent several of my teen years being homeschooled and others attending a small church school, so I understand firsthand the important role families can play in preparing teens—not just academically, but for the real-world choices, pressures, and challenges they’ll encounter as they grow.

With a master’s degree in Human Services Executive Leadership from Liberty University, and more than 15 years of personal sobriety, I bring both professional education and lived experience to this work. 

The Beacon Series: Homeschool Edition curriculum provides approximately 36 hours of direct instructional material, with 48 lessons averaging about 45 minutes each. By incorporating the provided facilitator discussion prompts, parent-teen conversations, and personal reflection time, families can expand the curriculum to approximately 60 total hours of coursework, making it suitable for families who choose to award 0.5 high school credit in Health, Life Skills, or General Electives, subject to their applicable homeschool requirements. Built-in digital progress tracking within the MyHelpr dashboard also makes it easy to document lesson and course completion.

This is an excellent way to approach substance education/prevention and life skills.
