How to use this family guide
You will need the full history curriculum for your selected course for the spine readings and lessons: Grade 3 for American Year 1, Grade 4 for Year 2, Grade 5 for Year 3, or Grade 6 for Ancient History. Follow that curriculum’s reading sequence and edition guidance.
Children in Grades 3–6 continue to use both the lessons and the history spine readings from that shared course. The optional book basket adds to this family study, helping each child understand the historical time period at a level suited to their age, maturity, and reading ability.
