A gentle first year built around beautiful books and steady habits. Fostering Wonder’s English Grade 1 Curriculum brings living books, poetry, and Shakespeare retellings into short, parent-led lessons.

What is included

• A 77-page, print-ready US Letter PDF teacher’s guide (Revision A1).
• 36 weeks and 105 lessons for children around ages 6–7.
• Three lessons in regular weeks, with two lessons in celebration weeks 12, 24, and 36.
• Reading directions, oral narration, copywork, vocabulary when helpful, gentle grammar noticing in book lessons, and poetry memorization.

Plan on about 15–20 minutes per lesson. A parent reads aloud and guides the lesson; the child responds through narration and copywork.

Books and supplies needed separately

• A Child’s Garden of Verses by Robert Louis Stevenson.
• Parables From Nature by Margaret Gatty.
• Beautiful Stories of Shakespeare by Edith Nesbit (Living Book Press edition).
• A copywork notebook or paper and a pencil.

The required books are not included in this download. This is not a phonics or learn-to-read program; families may pair it with their preferred reading instruction.
