Description
Grow from oral narration toward written expression with classic literature and a steady weekly rhythm. Fostering Wonder’s English Grade 4 Curriculum combines parent-supported reading with opportunities to practice independence.
What is included
- A 113-page, print-ready US Letter curriculum PDF (Revision A1).
- A separate 28-page answer-key PDF.
- 36 weeks with four lessons per week for children around ages 9–10.
- Reading directions, oral narration, vocabulary, grammar, copywork, poetry, and weekly dictation.
- A gentle introduction to written narration, once per regular instructional week.
Plan on about 20–30 minutes per lesson. Parents read aloud as the primary method while gradually inviting the child to read short portions independently. Lessons may be divided into shorter portions when helpful.
Books and supplies needed separately
- The Heroes of Asgard by A. and E. Keary.
- The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving.
- Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson.
- Notebooks or paper for copywork, written narration, and dictation, plus a pencil.
The prose books are not included in this download. Poetry by Alfred Lord Tennyson and Emily Dickinson is linked in the lessons and does not require separate poetry books.
