Introduce reading through familiar nursery rhymes, whole-word recognition, letter sounds, and word building. Fostering Wonder’s English Pre-Reader Curriculum offers a gentle Charlotte Mason approach for Kindergarten and children in first grade who still need direct reading instruction.

What is included

• A 92-page, print-ready US Letter curriculum PDF (Revision A2).
• A separate 34-page printable word-card PDF.
• 36 weekly lessons: 33 instructional lessons and three term-review lessons, using 31 distinct classic nursery rhymes.
• Guided word recognition, finger spelling, letter-tile word building, rhyme reading, and review activities.

Plan on 10–15-minute sessions, three or four days per week, adapting the pace to your child. There are no required formal narration assignments. For first-grade children, Pre-Reader can accompany Grade 1 English as reading instruction alongside literature and language arts.
