Description
Build language arts habits through classic literature, poetry, and thoughtful narration. Fostering Wonder’s English Grade 3 Curriculum keeps lessons short and parent-guided while inviting children to engage with rich language.
What is included
- A 78-page, print-ready US Letter PDF teacher’s guide (Revision A1).
- 36 weeks and 105 lessons for children around ages 8–9.
- Three lessons in regular weeks, with two lessons in celebration weeks 12, 24, and 36.
- Reading directions, oral narration, copywork, vocabulary when helpful, gentle grammar noticing in book lessons, and poetry memorization.
Plan on about 15–20 minutes per lesson. A parent reads aloud and guides the lesson; the child responds through narration and copywork.
Books and supplies needed separately
- Tales from Shakespeare by Charles and Mary Lamb (Living Book Press edition).
- The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan, including Part Two: Christiana’s story.
- A copywork notebook or paper and a pencil.
Poetry by William Blake and Sara Teasdale is linked in the lessons and does not require separate poetry books. The prose books are not included. Reading Christian’s journey in Part One before beginning Christiana’s story is recommended.
