Friends! If you have been part of our community for a while, you know how much we love history. Especially when we can go places like Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Philadelphia and see it come to life. Colonial Christmas is brimming with all sorts of historical adventures and learning fun.
A few of the activities in addition to the daily Scripture journal and Advent Family Readings are:
- A beautiful tin punch pie box
- A Rococo style landscape painting
- 9 Men’s Morris game wood burning project
- Colonial clay marbles
- Silhouette art lessons
- Geography of the 13 colonies
- Make a Jacob’s Ladder toy

A Gentle Advent™: Colonial Christmas includes a printable Scripture Journal, a printable curriculum/activity book, and a clickable PDF with all the necessary links to video and audio files as well as additional learning information.
A Gentle Advent™: Colonial Christmas begins with an Advent Scripture and Activity Journal. The Scripture study is done daily to encourage the habit of devotion.
There are printables, recipes, handicrafts, art and poetry studies, hymns and carols, nature studies, and more included. You will want one scripture journal printed for each student.
These activities are all meant to flow through what our family calls “Holiday Homeschool”. We do a light version of homeschool during the holiday season and this allows us to stay in the habit of learning, but also allows us to explore the season.
A Gentle Advent™: Colonial Christmas will work for your family through regular, light, or “take the month of December off” homeschooling. This is a digital product, no physical product will be received.
